No, it's universal, if you are a guy or gal and have a rockin' fit body....showing it off a bit is going to look good to the viewing public.
ie) Really fit girl with a little belly showing due to a shorter top is hot, muffin top is not. 
Trying to think what guys with great builds can wear...probably tighter jeans and basketball type sleeveless shirts but I will defer to your judgement here artsy.  |

It's comfortable, especially if you're going to be working. The fact that it really shows off the muscles in my arms is just a bonus.
