My wife spends an incredible amount of money to stay beautiful. She spends almost a $100 for monthly haircuts, hundreds in spa treatments, thousands in cosmetic surgery, hundreds a month for cosmetics, and hundreds in fancy clothes to make her feel pretty and sexy.

When our economy crashes what will happen to the whole beauty industry?
If things to get worse I suppose I'll start cutting back and doing things on a smaller scale. Fingers crossed it doens't get much worse. I love my highlights and don't want to give them up.

This may be a little mean, but I have to question the actual physical beauty of anyone who spends that kind of money. That's manufactured beauty. It's one thing to pamper yourself, but that's a bit much. In any case, I think there will be an overall decline in sales and services, however, in some areas, the beauty industry will be just fine. There will always be a small percentage of people with money to blow and an insistence on getting at least a little something done. For example, there's no way I'm going without my eyebrow wax. There are many women who may skip everything else, but won't go without dyeing their hair.
