To conclude, you live in a different culture than me and choose to spend your money in the free market on items I perceive to be wasteful. So be it. I guess my Southern attitude clashes against your style.

If I had a thousand bucks I'd buy a new refrigerator.

A fashionable one, of course.

How do people in the deep South dress? Because I've seen some mighty well-dressed folks in New Orleans and Atlanta, and some professional people in Philadelphia and Chicago who looked like they'd just crawled out of bed.

Is there a uniform for people in the deep South? I'm kinda confused here.

Because it asked what I'd spend $1000 on. I can get a LOT for $1000, when you consider the last shirt I bought cost me $3.

If that is your opinion then there is nothing wrong with that.

I am not trying to be mean when I say this, but I would not want to wear used clothes.

I would only wear used clothes if that was the only thing that I could afford

It cost me $3 new at Family Dollar. I wear a lot of T-shirts--no reason to wear a collared shirt for my job, and I only buy clothes I can wear at work as well as "off duty".

Oh...and I've given clothes to Goodwill as well--nothing frayed or stained, but perfectly serviceable clothes that don't fit me anymore.

Wow. Who knew you could find such fault with a fantasy scenario.

My list:
The Christian Louboutin Platform Cage Sandal in black $995

And then I'll have to chip in $233 for the gorgeous little black one shoulder BCBG dress to go with them.

I'd head to Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's; I'm not poor, but I'm cheap as heck!

However, I'd pad my cheap wardrobe with a nice, expensive handbag from Coach

Ooh! Fun question!

I would buy a Balenciaga handbag, which would probably take up the whole amount! , or a less expensive bag, then a great pair of custom made jeans, if any leftover, I'd go crazy at Ann Taylor and The Limited.
