Exactly! Whether hair or clothing, I prefer to wear what looks best on me rather than what happens to be "in" this year. But the fashion industry doesn't make it easy! On occassion, I have tried boys or men's jeans, but so far haven't had much luck with a good fit. Thanks for your response.

Thanks SmerkyGrl. I had a pair of non-stretch Guess jeans from Marshall's that finally wore out. Its just so hit or miss at Ross, Marshall's, etc. After looking through overstuffed racks of jeans, I might find one pair of non-stretch that's not my size! Oh well...

Jeans once were nice and soft and you could move in them without them losing their shape. BRING BACK THE OLD JEANS! Lee jeans were always a good stand by but they have stretch in most of them now. The ones without stretch are low rise or the leg style I don't care for. I just went jean shopping a few weeks ago and I tried on over 40 pair of jeans from 5 different stores and every single pair had some stretch in them. I ended up buying 3 pair all with that horrible stretch.

Yeah. I have two pair of thread bare non-stretch Lee jeans that I got at Kohl's a couple years ago. I am now washing them in cold water, on Delicate cycle cause they are my favorites and when they are gone I will feel like I have lost my best friends!

What about Levi's? Have they messed with a good thing as well?

Yeah. Most of Levi's seem to be stretch now also. I did find one pair a while back that wasn't, but it had that low waist that when I stooped down, made my backside visable - and hey, I'm a mom, now. Don't need that!

You might want to check out Zafu.com, but I found that it didn't work for me.

Thanks. I'll check it out. I don't like to pay more than $50 for a pair of jeans, but would consider going higher if I could actually find what I'm looking for!

I love stretch jeans but even with a belt they still slip down as I'm kinda straight cut and don't have curvy hips to hold them up.

I also have a hard time finding higher waisted jeans. Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks.
