Ladies,

What's the best brand Nail Polish?

I could have paid $8.50 for some Opi nail polish but went for the less expensive Sally Hansen instead.

Does it make a difference or is one brand better than another?

Thanks,

Woofers

Actually the Opi is great stuff. Good pigment, not runny, quality brush, no toluene, and two coats will last at least two weeks on my toenails. Plus they have a million colors. I love Opi.

I do not love Sally Hansen. Tried at least four different kinds and haven't liked any of them. They chip and wear off quickly and the stuff is gummy to apply. Thumbs down from me.

The best nail polish I have ever met is Jafra. Sadly Jafra is one of those Avon type things that are distributed by home sales people and not available retail. I haven't found a Jafra rep where I live. But their nail polish is the best stuff ever. Deep pigment, lasts for weeks, beautiful gloss, absolutely my top fave. If you ever find a Jafra rep, buy some.

I think Opi is my second favorite to Jafra.

Hmmmm. I guess I shouldn't have gotten the Sally Hansen then. Whoops. I guess I'll drop some dough on the Opi. I just have to find a place that sales a range of colors. The Target I visited today didn't have much of a range. Sigh.

Everything I know I learned the hard way......

I love my toenails painted. Makes just a plain pair of feet look so cute. Once I decided I loved nail polish I bought lots of it. I figured how can you lose for $2? But some of it is really nasty.

I've had cheap stuff, looked fine in the bottle just like any other nail polish--but ohmygod whatever kind of dastardly chemical was in just ate my toenails. They split and cracked and peeled. Some nail polishes contain really nasty chemicals that about destroy your nails. I learned the hard way.

Now I'm just into the Opi. Really happy with it.

You can try China Glaze. It's supposed to be the generic equivalent to OPI, I believe. It's a couple of dollars cheaper than OPI. I don't know how long it lasts, because I have artificial nails, and nail polish last longer on those, than the natural nail.

OPI is the best, tho, in my opinion.

I have to agree, OPI is the gold standard for nail polish. It gives me about 3 weeks of good wear on my toes. I just wish they wouldn't discontinue my favorite colors. Essie is also very good. I have not heard of Jaffra but I'm going to check it out.

Well, Opi it is then. I know that's what they use in the nail salons.

Chanel Nail polish
http://uma.chanel.com/-makeup-nails-...oduct/MANPR010

The creamy color looks good with everything. (Allegoria)

I like opi too but the difference in the condition of my nails is different after using chanel VS. Opi.
Chanel seems to dry the nail out less and is less stinky.

I like opi and sally hansen best for clear coats and top coats.

I dont do a lot of colors so I keep one dark chanel and one light chanel with a clear topcoat.

I know it's not "high end", but I love the Maybelline Express Finish--it's a quick dry that doesn't get "goopy", and it dries to a really high shine. I do put a coat or two the their top-coat, just to delay the wearing of the tips of my nails (I do alot of paperwork, and that really erases your polish!)
