I LOVE the fact that Everyday Minerals has different "consistencies" like Original Glo. .... cuz most other organic mineral makeup is WAY too matte and ends up looking really caked on..... the original glo gives a nice dewy finish which is what I need!

One thing I know for sure...powder looks awful on me. Just awful. So I no longer use those.
Liquid: I was using Covergirl Tru Blend, which wasn't bad, but the color wasn't quite right, either too dark or too light. I now use Maybelline Liquid Mousse in caramel, which matches my skin PERFECTLY.
I also like Bare Minerals as well. I don't have blemishes really, but it gives great coverage for the bit of redness I have occasionally around my nose area.

I use a few different ones, depending on what kind of coverage I need that day; Laura Geller Balance n Brighten, Bare Minerals and Redpoint, mainly.

I'm using Phyto Genic Foundation with SPF 10 from The Face Shop. It has a natural finish and contains vitamins.

I've changed again. I now use MAC Studio Sculpt. o.m.g. Looks like perfection on my face. I had to go a little darker than my overall skintone on my face, but it works, because it covers up my paleness and redness well (that is much worse in the winter).

How long does that one stay workable?
Is the lightest too dark for pale skin? Or would setting with a light power fix the problem?

I first tried it at the counter at Macy's...after she was done, I shopped around for about 2 hours, went back outside...in a snowstorm, mind you, wet snowflakes flying in my face, got home, didn't take it off until right before I went to bed at 3 am, and it still looked great. There's a vast amount of shades there, so I'm not sure how the lightest would fare. As for setting it with a light powder, actually, I do use that too, I forgot to mention that. They used the Mineralize Skinfinish on me, and I'd definitely say it helps.

Next question on foundation: What doesn't transfer? That's my biggest problem right now. I tend to break out occasionally lately (I thought I didn't have to deal with that after the teen years??) and need a foundation for work. I want something light weight and I've been using a mousse type. CG or Maybelline or something. It covers excellent, but every time I touch my face for something - and I must do that a lot without thinking - it transfers the foundation which winds up on everything I touch. I think corporate is tired of getting my smudgy reports every month.

I prefer to use no makeup at all on a daily basis. I'm just fine with who I am. If I am going someplace special at night and need to get all spiffed up, I will use a little tinted moisturizer. I have some Lancome and Laura Mercier brand tinted moisturizers in my cosmetics box. Most women, especially young women don't need to wear foundation. And on young women, I think that a heavy foundation makes them look artificial and much worse than not wearing any makeup at all. I think that makeup should only be used for special occasions. And I feel that of the couples I know, when the woman wears too much makeup and all of the time, the couple isn't that closely bonded as friends. Too much makeup and there's more of that men are from Mars and women are from Venus thing going on, and the men thinking that women are confusing alien creatures.
