It is. Sadly, tacky is all the rage.

I don't mind the look of nice flip flops. I wear suede Chaco flips, but they have actual support, they don't have that rubbery look like the hideous foamy platform flips I see waaay too many girls wearing.

I guess it's a California thing, because I wear flip flops all year round Of course, they aren't the cheapo drugstore kind, but they aren't Gucci or anything.

The "Preppy" look on dudes. They all look the same wearing their Hollister and American eagle t-shirts. Who in their right sheepish mind wants to be a walking billboard??? Also...girls wearing ugg boots (sp?) with sweats. Horrid. I just think the preppy look in general is just bad. In my opinion its the punkers, indie kids, goths, hippies, alternative people in general that catch my attention fashion-wise. Everyone else pretty much looks the same.

Not sure if they're in style any more but for awhile women's shoes were into these huge, ridiculous heels, like army boots. How feminine.

i absolutely hate the negligee for shirts look. the current fashion of looking like a badly dressed gypsy is disgusting! also that farrah fawcett hairdo. all tacky. oh my god.
the best thing is the low-riding hip-hugging jeans, much smarter and comfortable. i hated the jeans and pants of the 80's and 90's, all riding up like a damn diaper!

I have to agree that I prefer my jeans to be at my hips or right above. However, the jeans are definitely not for everyone. The biggest thing to watch out for is that many hip-hugger jeans have no space for a rear end. So, for those with ample rears, then tend to stick out of the top, like a plumber's. I know someone who still hasn't realized that her butt is far too big for the pants she wears. Everyday, everyone knows what color thong her booty is eating and see plenty of that rear. *shudder*
Oh, and today is casual friday... so I'm wearing a shirt with a slogan on it! It has a picture of a Peep.. and says, "Where my Peeps at?" See attachment.

? That's back? It was great in the 70s, not sure how it'd work now. Lord knows there are plenty worse out there. At least it's a style. I can't stand it when women have hair that looks like they just a lawn mower ran over it, or they just woke up. At least BRUSH it for crying out loud.

Oh Lawdy! I was watching that "On The Road Again" show with Mario Batali & Gwineth Paltrow (vom) and Mario gets out of the Mercedes he's driving around in Spain, right in the city square they just arrived at, and as he's walking away from the car they show his whole ensemble - a light colored long sleeved shirt, some sort of dark vest ( navy, perhaps?), brown cargo shorts, red crew socks, and orange Crocs. At that point, I realized this dude is not just in love with food and cooking - he doesn't give a rat's tush about his looks. Good lord, it was a hot mess!
