I have this pull for book stores, stationery shops, and cooking/housewares stores, but not clothing/fashion/makeup retailers.

Don't let me loose in one of those shops that sell spices, salts, teas (preferably organic) - I'll go crazy and come home with all sorts of little bags and spoons and labels and odd little gadgets!

I also really love Pier One and Chicos...and Dillards. I know that Chico's and Dillards are not particularly high end but they do the job for me. Oh, and I also love Nordstrom.

I'm not very enticed by super expensive clothing or purses or even shoes. For instance, I can't imagine spending more than about $200 for a purse, or $150 for a pair of shoes, and even those would be extravagant to me. What I WILL spend money on though is jewelry - I feel like it's an investment. I don't buy it all that often but when I do, I buy the good stuff.

I'm also a sucker for a good sale - I want to find the $400 shoes for $100 - or better yet, the $140 shoes for $25 (which I did recently). I want the $240 pants at 50 percent off of 65 percent off! I buy at the end of the season for the next year and I get to start off each new season with stuff that is brand new but cost me pennies on the dollar just a few months before!

My favorite find last year was a fabulous pair of Born boots that were regularly $300 that I got for about $35. FAB. I'm in love. And guess what - IT'S TIME TO BREAK THOSE BABIES OUT!

Oh and one other thing - I love me some resale shops, especially those which specialize in high end clothing and accessories. And I love shopping for vintage items (especially vintage costume jewelry) on eBay. I've gotten some great deals that way.

I can resist clothing and cosmetics temptations without any problems.

My weakness has to do with food & cookware. Thus,

Whole Foods
Gourmet food shops
Williams-Sonoma
