Two Girls - need serious answers to my question
Today Stacy (wearing a tweed coat that is more for fall than winter)was in the thrift store for about an half hour when Wendy walked in.
Wendy: “Hi. How many things did you buy. Can I see?”
Stacy: “Ok” And Stacy showed Wendy what she purchased which was clothes for the summer.
Then Stacy decided to go thru the rack again and found a sweater and decided to get it even thou she was just looking for summer stuff.
Wendy: “I see you found something else. Can I see it?”
So Stacy showed it to her.
Wendy: “And extra large” she said this in surprise. “How could you Stacy even think of taking a large or extra large, medium ok
Stacy: “How about small”
Wendy: “You are tall, I don’t know any one tall that would take a small. I mean if the small was full cut that is ok, otherwise it would be to short on you”
Stacy: “But last time we met you said that you thought I was a small or medium”
Wendy: “But you are tall, I don’t know any one that is tall would take a small”
Stacy: “ Last time we met here you told me I don’t have an ounce of fat on me”
Wendy: “You don’t.“
Stacy: “What about width wise”
Wendy: “What are you a size 2”
About ten minutes later:
Stacy: “So just confirming you said 2,4,6,8”
Wendy: “Well you are not 14,16, etc”
Then Stacy was looking at one rack and Wendy was looking at another and Stacy pestered Wendy again. Wendy said something about Stacy and size 8/10 pants. But Stacy is not quite sure what Wendy said about that. Then when Stacy pestered Wendy way too much:
Wendy: “Ok you are a 6,8,10 or 16 take your choice”
Stacy: “IN other words, I should have just accepted your original answer that you think I am size 2,4,6,8”
Wendy: “Yes”
But when they were saying their goodbyes and hour and half later Wendy’s final answer: “You are size 4,6,8,”
SO my question: IF you were Stacy would you accept that Wendy thinks you are thin and not higher than an 8”.

Why would someone else know your size better than you? Brands differ in their sizing. What might be a 4 in one brand is sometimes a 2 in another.
Your story didn't really make that much sense, to be honest.

to emi: What I wanted to know from the above conversation can Stacy accept that Wendy thinks Stacy is a size 4,6,8 and not higher than an 8.

This story is incredibly confusing, it doesn't even make sense why they would be having this conversation or why they would be so neurotic about what the other thinks about sizes. What exactly is a size 2-4-6-8??? Sizes vary, but not so much that one can wear either a 2 or an 8.

Who are these people and why in the world do you even care what Stacy thinks?

That was WAY confusing. Also, I don't know how I feel about someone who says that someone else can range from a size 2 to a size 8. I'm a size 8 and my boss is a size 2...I could probably sit on her and squash her. There is a HUGE difference in size. Anyways, who really care what either of these people think?

Seriously?
I'd never go shopping with Wendy again.
What an annoying conversation. One guessing and the other not giving a staight answer.
This is why I shop alone.

I've been trying to follow this thread myself but couldn't for the life of me figure out what the question was and who cared anyway. I was going to just leave it alone but with your nasty comment to Kali's Grandma...I just have to say....borrowing skaternum's words...Go back to school, learn how to commumicate in a way to actually get your point across. By that time, you won't care what "Stacey" or "Wendy" thinks and you can post on here with some modicum of intelligence and people will respond accordingly.
