Until you get tired of that color and you grow old and your lips shrink up.

My grandmother was 94 when she died, and she wore red lipstick every single day. It was "her" shade, and she wouldn't wear any other color.

I've been wearing red lipstick since I was a teen, and I just...put it on. I don't use liner because I'm horrible with it and I can never make a straight line. Perhaps you could try blotting it on with your fingers or a brush?

Keep in mind that some people are simply not suited for red lipstick either due to the shape of their lips or the hue of their skin (not being racist, but sometimes if you have yellow undertones, red lipstick ends up looking funny).

If you reeeaaallly want to have red lips, I suggest a stain or a balm.
