Dear All,
I am 40+ and interested in getting a facelift. However browsing through the internet I came across so many options that I'm now confused about which one is best for me. Can those who have done a facelift recently please educate my choice. Thanks in advance
One possibility is to get yourself a facelift from Lifestyle Lift, the advantage here is that there is speedy recovery, check out their site Lifestyle Lift Procedure | Before & After Pictures | Locations - Staying Young Now
PLEASE do not consider a lifestyle lift. That is like an assembly line for facelifts. You have no control over which doctor does your surgery. And even if it turns out o.k., it may only last months. This is your FACE that you are thinking of altering/improving; you don't want it ruined or you'll be devastated. Research plastic surgeons carefully...you want one that is a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (not just "board certified" which can mean any board).
There are several kinds of facelifts. But most surgeons will say that the best time for a facelift is after menopause because then the skin tends to sag more due to estrogen loss, etc. If you do one earlier, you may have to do another one. And the first facelift is the best facelift.
40 is young to consider a facelift. Are you sure you can't improve some of what you're concerned about with fillers, Botox, or fat transfer? You might want to consult with a plastic surgeon regarding what your options are.
There is a very good website with message boards and information, as well as doctors who will answer questions, called makemeheal.com. I would suggest you check it out. Good luck.
My first thought too BlueWillow. Someone who works for LIFESTYLE which by the way, does NOT have a good reputation. Google the nightmare stories. I really get peeved at these people who log on to get some free advertisments.
Whatever you decide to do, please make sure you go to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon (not just a Board Certified Surgeon or Board Certified Physician... that means he/she is certified, however, in something other than plastic surgery)...... look for someone who is a Member of the American Board of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. It's that important. Both societies have websites that you can "google" and search for members in your area.
Read all the reviews and patient experiences before getting this specific procedure. I would stay far and away from it.
