I think high heels look very attractive and sexy. I wish more women wore them.

Doesn't the origin of such shoes goes back to the old tradition of women having small feet? I remember photos of asian women whose feet were broken and crushed to make them look small. I'm glad my wife doesn't wear such shoes. She didn't even wear heels for our wedding.
If a woman wears high heeled shoes regularly, it's not painful. Oprah may experience pain because she's overweight and there is alot of forward pressure on her feet. Men who don't wear ties daily find them uncomfortable. Men who wear them daily to work, don't. Same thing.

I think high heels look great, but I've thought about the position the feet are in while in those shoes, and it's pretty unnatural to be walking that way! It can't be good for your feet/ankles/legs to be on your toes for hours. One of my college professors told us that a man invented high heels so women would walk sticking their butts and chests out, but I haven't seen evidence of this anywhere. I also heard they were invented so women could not run away quickly. This stuff stayed with me so I find the subject a little disturbing.

A lot of us suffer for beauty, but this seems more extreme to me than plucking eyebrows. High heels can cause permanent damage.
