Bill Cunningham: The Cardigan is Back
I love my cardigan sweaters. I wear them almost every day with almost any outfit. You put on a skirt, linen top, and then throw on a cardigan in case the weather is cool. So perfect. So easy.
And according to Bill Cunningham, it's the latest in thing:

I'm really not convinced the basic cardigan has ever really gone out of style. The features may cycle in and out (cropped versus longer, v-neck versus jewel neckline, mother-of-pearl buttons versus covered fabric buttons vs. zipper, three quarter length versus long or short sleeved, wear it open, wear it buttoned, etc.). But the cardigan itself kinda ranks right up there with the little black dress as the classic no-brainer wardrobe staple. Anything that can be used to dress a dress down or dress a pair of jeans up is okay by me.

Poop. They were never out of style. They may not have been part of a recent TREND, but they were never out of STYLE.

I never thought it went away..although for me the cardigan is nice but not exciting. It works but I need to step it up. I liked his piece on the hats though

I have always worn them, with a choice accessory or two for some zip!

I've had them in a variety of colors and styles long before I ever even heard of Michelle Obama.

When were cardigans ever out?
And who is Bill Cunningham and why would I give a flying you-know-what what he thinks about cardigans?
