Jeans act 'girdle-ish' and sure look better than tight but non-confining stretch pants.
Unfortunately, they sometimes feel girdle-ish too

I personally don't think women of ANY proportion other than "stick thin boyish figure" look good in skinny jeans. Much less in a plus size.

I don't even think skinny girls look good in skinny jeans. (Maybe it's because that look reminds me of the stretch acid wash jeans of the 80s. )

I do not like skinny jeans, and I especially do not like them on heavier women.
I find that if I am the slightest big overweight, jeans are uncomfortable. I cannot imagine going out in tight fitting jeans where I was unable to bend my knees. Comfort is a big issue for me. If it is not comfortable, I don't buy it.

I think women in jeans are fine as long as they don,t look like 10 pounds of $hit in a 5 pound sack.

I think this is where many people don't get and should probably do a little research before commenting. When you go into a store if you cant wear anything less than a 14 (12 in some stores) you are considered plus sized. Sadly, too many of the people automatically equate being plus sized as being this formless figure, when that's not always the case.

Yes, if your trying to squeeze your size 32 waist in a size 28! Which some people (usually because they haven't come to grips with their size) try to do.
That's not a skinny jean issue, that's a psychological one .

and that's the point. Knowing how to dress your individual body.
