What is your favorite era of fashion? (Dior, clothing, wearing)

I was just wondering if there was a poll what would be the favorite. Thank you for responding, and please explain why you voted for the ones that you did.

To me it would be the 50s. I love the shapes which I think really compliment a woman's figure, I find the clothes well cut, of good quality , elegant and understated.

Chic but in a very low key sort of way. I am a "classic" dresser and to me there is nothing better than the Audrey Hepburn look of the 50s or the Dior "New Look" with well tailored and utterly stylish.
I love the gloves, the shoes, the hats, the accessories , everything about it is feminine and beautiful.

I hate modern fashion which I find shapeless and generally gharish.

I like my clothes to wear my clothes rather than my clothes wearing me which I find is often the case nowadays. I also love the late Edwardian fashion ( just before 1914) as it had moved from the very constrictive clothing of the Victorian age into something more elegant and comfortable too.

The 1920s are beautiful IF you have the right figure ( skinny, no breast which is not me).

I don't have an era. I love the classic femininity of the 40s though....designers were definitely more curvy friendly.

I loved the 30's and 40's. Women knew how to dress back then. Even during the War, women found ways to look good. And if you are curvy this is the era to have lived in. It was pre-anorexic looking models era.

I like the 20's, 30's and 40's.
I also like the Regency era, around the early 1800's, *roughly* between 1800 and 1825, but leaning towards the first few decades of the century.
Fashion looked relatively comfortable, and was flattering to both men and women. The Greek influence, the Empire dress, is feminine and appealing on women, and those jackets and tight pants on the men look quite hot.

Right this minute! Because anything goes. You can deck out in 40's attire or wear the latest fashions and nobody bats an eye! In the past you had to fit in or stand out as some kind of weirdo. Not anymore!

I couldn't have said this better if I wrote it myself! The 50's were perfect for women's figures and feminity! I totally agree.... I actually am drawn to dresses today that reflect this style... Most of my formal dresses look very "Hepburnesque" I love it!
