I think obesity actually makes people look younger. Really thin people tend to look years older than they are.

Also I disagree about 30s. I think its more 40s or so that people start to lose the elasticity of the skin. In the 30s there is usually a glow about the skin.

I have to agree with you on this, Richmonder.

Teeth are another thing that show age. Our teeth just get duller and yellower as we get older.
really my teeth seem the same I have a dental plan and go every six months for a check up and cleaning and take good care of my teeth and I don't smoke but I do drink coffee

The following will make a person look older then their years; being fat, smoking, not exercising which makes bad muscle tone, bad teeth, too many suntans, frumpy clothes, excess makeup, out of style clothes and hairstyles.
Yes - genes has a lot to do with it.
If a guy has six-pack abs and has a muscular body he will look much younger for his age -

you can be youthful at any age. many people look way hot and young at 40, 50 and even 60. you are asking what ages a person. besides all the wrinkles how they dress is a look in the eye that comes with maturity. you are so young and you will look young most your life is my guess. you are blessed to not have the wrinkles or the "look" that some get at a very early age. thank your genes for that. go look at pictures of your eyes at 16, 18, 22, 25, 26, and now, don't look at anything else. if you can't see it in your self look at someone else's picture you will see it. enjoy your youth and your youthful look as it all fades, no way around that

I read somewhere the best way to eat is the closest to nature that you can get. Fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water. Exercise. Get a good night's sleep.

Excellent point! I have customers that are almost the same age as myself but are smokers and drug abusers and they look BAD I can only say that it makes me feel very good about myself since I know I look amazing compared with them

What does weight have to do with it? If a child is overweight they still look like kids to me ! In fact I think being thin makes a person look old. Look at how old and frail and thin most elderly people look. Like they're going to break a bone when they sit down, lol

I do agree about smoking ! That makes your skin turn to ash. I dont think "6 pack abs" makes a guy look young if his face looks like a raisin. I dont think body reveals age as much as face does.

I have to agree that weight makes you look older too. Just look at some of those ads for diet places like Nutri-System, Jenny Craig, etc. When you see the before and the after pics, the afters always look younger.

Look at those people over 75 who seem considerably younger. Why? My sister is 79 and looks 10 years younger at least. Other than genetics, I'd say the most important factor is *attitude*. She does not look or dress matronly but her thinking is young, her voice and her laugh are young, too.

Oh, and stay out of the sun and the tanning salons. You can get a self-tanner at the drugstore that is safer than lying in the sun or in those tanning "coffins."

Young on the inside = young on the outside. Positive healthy attitude and good common sense with eating and excercise. Also, moderation on lifes ''frosting'' (booze, dessert, sugar etc)
If you Love and respect who you are, what others think will be irrelevant.
