Thank you Cav Scout Wife,
Technology really IS wonderful! I have a screen reading program called "JAWS" that literally reads every word on the screen to me. I am very lucky that I went blind after being visual for most of my life, so I already knew how to type!

Slippers in public rub me the wrong way like wearing hair rollers in public.

That is amazing....

Today I saw a young girl wearing Ugg slippers (yes they were slippers) at the mall!!!

Would you ever dream of wearing slippers past the end of your driveway? What is this world coming to?
Heck no.

No slippers, no sweat pants in public places. I only would wear my shorty Ugg boots in the house or a ski lodge. Not to the mailbox and not to the store.

Wearing a pair of slippers in public, i think it cool. If it matches in her dress, that will be fine.

If they have the gall to wear the pj's at stores, then they obviously wouldn't have any problems with wearing their slippers. Wait until the weather gets cold, you'll probably see her with her bathrobe on as well.

We use "Jaws" for our visually impaired (blind) employees at work in a federal office. They went to class to learn how to use it. They read the keyboard because it is Braille. Jaws talks to them. It is a totally wonderful way for our folks to do their jobs.

I'm very happy to hear jaws is available in the private sector. It is such a useful tool. Plus the name is great. "Jaws is talking too loud. Tell him to try to be quiet." We talk about Jaws as if he is a person. I love it.
