I have a pair of ballet flats that are heather grey and lined with microfleece. Dear goodness these 'slippers' are comfy and cozy and yes, I do wear them out with a cute pair of jeans here and there Nobody would know they're slippers by looking at them, since they look just like normal ballet flats.

I have accidentally worn slippers out, and to work on a few occasions (my Mother does the same thing...genetics? ) but really, I don't pay much attention to what other people are wearing. Perhaps it's because I grew up in a college community, but I'm fairly used to seeing people in sweats and slippers/uggs and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Since my accident I have been to the mall with one slipper.

It was the best I could do.

I think a pair of "mailbox slippers" might be a good idea but ONLY if they stay by the door and are taken off before walking around in the house.

I also may be a little OCD on this, but even when I see people on TV walking through their homes with shoes on or (GASP!) getting on a bed with shoes on, it completely skeeves me out!!! I want to SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im the same its horrible to see shoes on a bed.... and now it seems kids visiting hospitals are allowed to be shoved up on the bed with the patient... its the other side of the coin.. hate and always have hated slippers in public... it reminds me of older women when I was young who would go to the local shop in them and hair curlers..

I don't own slippers and I hate to go shopping but if people have feet that are killing them and they want to go shopping in their slippers I don't have a problem with it.

I did that once....I was going to get ready for a friends wedding so I drove over to her place in a robe and towel on my head

Of course, this was a town in which a friend just recently posted on Facebook that he witnessed a group of women having a bridal shower in a Jack in the Box where they had a full setup including tablecloth. So...I didn't really worry about being 'classy'.
