If what you are looking for is something to bring files home in, I don't see that the shape of #3 is conducive (but then I wonder about the practicality if this is a bag you will carry every day)....If you will be carrying files home frequently, I would get a separate leather satchel for that purpose so the files don't get all bent and scratched up in your bag.

I'm not going to have enough files to warrant a briefcase.

I've narrowed it down to these three.

Thoughts?

I would choose the black and brown one for work .

It looks like the right size and the color's are great. Very professional and ladylike.....perfect for work

Let us know which one you choose (if any)

I prefer the khaki and black one the best, especially for summer with the rope handles, it's summery and professional both.

If you just need a file transfer case/carry; why not get a bag specifically for that, and nothing else? You can leave it at work unless you need it, and take it home when you do.

To me the Fuchsia one is not a professional color and the shape is wrong.
The black/white one look casual to me but it's my favorite stye-wise.
I like that the black/brown one is black and brown and will therefore match just about anything. But it looks kinda cheap.

Can I suggest the following:
Amerileather Oversized Lexington Handbag from Overstock.com

Nine West 'Impulse' Medium Satchel from Overstock.com

La Philipe Brown/ Dark Brown Tote Bag from Overstock.com

Actually that website has a bunch of nice ones...too many to post

Since it is for work, I would pick #2. #1 is a bit boring, and #3 not professional enough.

Oh, because I won't always know when I'll need to take home files so I wanted a purse that could double as file carrier if need be.

I just charged >$2,000 to my card for car repairs, and I just graduated and didn't have any income for about a year, so I really have to take it easy with my money right now.

I think you guys are right about the third one not being professional enough, but because of the shape, not the color. What do you think? I like the color because I think it states "confidence".

AlexTx, I know you say the first one looks cheap, and I guess you can't tell from the picture, but it was *really* nicely made and actually the most expensive of the bunch. Go figure!
