1) What brands do you swear by? OPI? China Glaze? Essie? Sally Hansen, Chanel? Mac? Orly? Lippman's? etc...and why?

2) Are you open to wear dark finger nail polish colors in the summer months, and brights during the fall/winter months?

3) Does your finger nail polish color and toe nail polish color have to always match?

4) Do you feel that certain colors should only be reserved for certain people? For instance, do you feel a 40 year old can pull off wearing a NEON color (which is the new trend) like an 18 year old can?

6) What is your favorite base and top coat?

5) Mattes are supposedly going to be big this fall/winter. Do you plan on jumping on that trend? Here's a pic of some matte's with shiny designs..

I have used most of the ones you mentioned, but I just got a brochure on Zoya polish and they have great colors.

OPI - has the best range of colors and nice quality

2) Are you open to wear dark finger nail polish colors in the summer months, and brights during the fall/winter months?

brights aren't really my style, but I wear dark polish now and then

3) Does your finger nail polish color and toe nail polish color have to always match?

yes

4) Do you feel that certain colors should only be reserved for certain people? For instance, do you feel a 40 year old can pull off wearing a NEON color (which is the new trend) like an 18 year old can?

neon is gross on anyone

6) What is your favorite base and top coat?

one by Bath and Body Works

5) Mattes are supposedly going to be big this fall/winter. Do you plan on jumping on that trend?

I don't worry about the brand of nailpolish. I prefer a color that is dark but stands out. I usually wear bright red. I don't like fake nails at all because I'm on the computer a lot and it's harder to type with them.

I was on the OPI bandwagon before I learned that China Glaze is just as good if not better. Zoya also gets high praise from my friends who are obsessed with nail polish.

I always like the OPI polishes, but yesterday I had my nails done and she put this gel color on my nails - she had like 20 different colors - and it was dry instantly. I think I am completely sold on this stuff and in love with it! Only problem is, you can't put it on your toes unless your toes have acrylic on them. I really like the idea of having instant dry nails. Oh and I'd say 99% of the time my toes and hands match - except sometimes when I do pink and white (french) on my nails, then I might have my toes a solid color, or I might also do them in pink and white to match.

1. OPI is good for its chip resistance and color selection, but I'll also just as easily go with drug store brands for less $$$.

2. I generally wear non-seasonal colors if the mood strikes me.

3. I rarely match fingers and toes. My toes are usually something eye-catching and bright, my fingers are usually more neutral.

4. I don't believe in resigning one's self to drab colors as one ages. If I wanna wear bright in my old age, I'll wear bright. I know my grandma would.

5. I don't necessarily go by trends. Just depends on whether or not I like them. I don't like acrylics, or decals.

I have a bright OPI red I wear all summer. I wear a darker "wine" colored red in the fall and winter. I tend to paint my toenails, but I only pain my finger nails natural (nude) color. Otherwise, they turn yellow from the paint and it is just a pain.

Clear coat only on my nails, and a nice neutral med pink on my toes. It's an OPI color, and no base coat, a cheap clear coat. No darks (they stain too much), no neons (I'm not 8yrs old!), and those nails (in the pic) are tacky (again IMO).

A nice natural nail is much nicer than those designs, and it's classic and never goes out of style.
