I wear a strapless all the time. Mine is pretty comfy, from VS.

I have to wear a strapless bra when I wear anything halter, spaghetti strap, etc. I'm a 34C so I need my girls to stay in place. I also need to avoid the Renaissance look....that is the one that looks like my boobs are way out there with tons of cleavage. But, I don't think it should be a problem for a someone with a smaller chest to go without, unless she really wants one. Seeing the bra in a halter is tacky, that's my only beef really.

I always thought a strapless bra was very uncomfortable so I couldn't imagine wearing one except for special occassions. I definitely can't get away with wearing no bra at all. I am a size 32A or 34A (I might could pass as a AA) so if I don't wear a bra I look completely flat chested. Not to mention my you-know-whats poke through, which I've always found very distasteful when I can see them poke through someone's shirt (and that goes for women AND men).
You need to go live in France for a while.

I'll usually wear a sports bra if I'm wearing a halter top or tank top. It's very comfortable but doesnt' take away from the appeal of the top.

Me, too. Why would you need straps anyway?! I'd imagine this doesn't work for ladies with large assets, though...

It isn't like most strapless ones, it's stretchy and doesn't have the weird pointed cups. It basically feels like a bandeau bikini top but is a little more padded/molded. If you can find something like that, no underwires and with molded cups, it's a lot more comfortable than normal ones.

Looks sort of like this, only straighter across the top:
Amazon.com: JLo Lingerie Soft Touch Strapless Bandeau Bra: Apparel

You can also wear something like this underneath:
Victoria's Secret - Tube top
Thanks, I definitely need something that is more comfortable than the one I have. Mine is super tight and stiff, very miserable! I always squirm around when I wear it. I'll have to start looking around in the stores. I don't like to order clothing online because I never wear the same size in 2 different things!

I am a 34B and wear strapless all of the time with no comfort or support issues (thank you, Victoria's Secret.)

There are some bras you can get that have the clear straps you can trade out for the regular. Also, Body Gap has a great "strapless" that is basically a stick on.

I'm your same size - 32A and have the same problem. I also have bras with very colorful straps and will wear those.

Bra-less.
I rarely wear a bra, actually, except to work and formal-type occasions.
I find them very constricting and uncomfortable.
