I am so over status stuff. If I buy Coach I go to a Coach outlet so I feel better about indulging my need to overspend lol I used to be a Louis Vuitton collector but no more. I sold off most on Ebay and a few years ago won an eye dare laptop bag that I never used that is in my closet. It is ugly IMO. There are many brands that make quality without paying for the name. I tell my daughters all the time that unless you are wearing your clothes inside out with the label showing , often times no one can tell the difference such as with plain tank tops etc (that places like A7F charge $39+ for!) Target has tem for less and if layering..who cares! Ok off my soapbox.
I'm sick of the logo ones. But, I love my all leather Coach bag, it's great! They have great customer service also, I had one that had fabric wear after a few years and was able to switch it out for a new one of my choice!
IMO being brand conscious saying "I'd never carry that bag since every one else is" is as bad as being brand conscious saying "I must have a Coach bag." If YOU like it great, if it's just for status, then that's pretty sad!
I have one Coach bag, it's vintage, plain black leather and the construction is well-done. But those logos- obnoxious! I don't know what it is, I really don't despise all logo apparel, the Coach logo is just so overdone.
I'm personally not fond of logos, be they Coach logos or the Old Navy logo. That said, my boyfriend's stepmother, who is fairly label-whorey, gave me one for Christmas, and I carry it on occasion, although it's oddly colored and doesn't match much. Because, hey, free purse. Would I buy one? Nah. But I certainly COULD, if I so chose.
