Since I was a kid, I always prefered the look of medium to dark blue jeans.
I recently bought myself a new pair that were dark blue this May
and immediately noticed how much dark blue pants suck when it's sunny and 70+ F,
compared to how much my old, faded blue-jeans which didn't heat up nearly as much.

I've always lived in Canada and up here dark colours are rarely a problem
but I'd like to someday live somewhere warmer;
somewhere it's usually 70+ F outside of winter and maybe 80+ F half the year...
I might even wind up somewhere tropical where it's 85+ F year round.

This got me thinking about purchasing a pair light blue jeans.
There seems to be quite a large inventory of light blue jeans up here,
but I never really noticed any guys wearing them...
(perhaps I don't pay that much attention to fashion)

Anyways, the reason I didn't like them as a kid is when "new" they look "baby blue" to me, which I equated with "girly."

So yeah,
what are your opinions on men wearing light (baby blue?) blue jeans?

*I'm hoping they might even look good, though it'd take a visual adjustment for me.

I think if they are purple toned light blue they look girl-ish, but I have not really seen that in men's jeans.

No, they don't look girly at all. They simply look like faded jeans.

Actually, I've seen "solid" baby blue jeans for men; no evidence of fading.
They seemed to have a lot of them on the racks, so somebody's got to by buying them.

The reason I've gone with medium to dark blues in the past is so that a year later, they still look "quite blue."
But it's become obvious to me that it's not the smartest idea for a warm/hot climate.

I don't know if I've ever seen purplish-light blue jeans before.
(though there seems to be a lot more style differences for women's jeans)

Girly?
No. Go for it if that's what you like.

If you can pull it off, go for it. It depends on how it looks on you or how it fits. Some guys can pull off the "salmon" colored shirt, no problem while others can't.

It's the look and confidence.

I think light colored jeans look better on skinny women. I like my jeans a dark or medium blue color or black. I have the curvy hips and the Jennifer Lopez type butt, so I have to stay away from light colored jeans which enhances the shape. While darker colors minimizes them.

But on men, if you think you can pull it off, then by all means go ahead.

But honestly, I can't stand a man to wear a yellow or pink shirt (that's too girly looking to me).
