I am 34. Size 16 . Wear to shop? (fashion, clothes, thin)

I have just lost 60 pounds do to being diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago. I went shopping today and couldn't find anything I liked. It seams everything was for a teenager or a grandma. So wear is a good place to shop and dress for my age and size. I am a 16 now and still want to go down to maybe a 12. I am a mom and haven't really shopped for myself in years. When you are a size 22 its not much fun to try on clothes. I don't want fancy clothes, just clothes to wear to go see a movie in or to take the kids to the park in. Thanks.

Macy's has a good plus size section. They're pretty inexpensive too, especially if you like to shop the clearance racks.

Do you have a Fashion Bug in your area? I think they tend towards sizes 12 and up. Some of their things are stylish, imo. They've overall, decent casual clothes.

If you're a size 16 you don't need a plus size store, so what's the problem? If you are a little iffy and might need a plus for some things, I suggest Talbots, Coldwater Creek, or CJ Banks (Christopher Banks). All of these stores have Petites, Misses and Plus, so you can get an outfit no matter what size you need.

Agreed. Plus, since some shirts (most don't, though) go by numbering, it's hard to say if the OP is going by shirt or pants. I've found most of the sizes in the plus size stores run quite a bit larger than those found in other stores. 16 is considered plus size in the fashion industry, but in my opinion, plus sized isn't until you're hitting size 20+. You shouldn't have a huge problem finding things with some research/shopping around.

Try Chico's, Macy's (etc, if you're going for high-end). Good luck
