Can someone recommend an inexpensive, rich moisturizer for extremely dry skin? Is there such a thing? Also, what is your favorite body lotion for dry skin? Have you ever bought creams or lotions at a discount through E Bay or somewhere similar? Thanks.

Good Question, I was just thinking about this today. With winter on the horizon, my hands are already dry. I have Lubriderm right now, not so great, but OK. Used Keri Lotion in the past, is my fav.....but I am looking for something new too.

Jergens Shea Butter lotion. It's thick and creamy and works really well on my itchy dry legs. It has a light vanilla fragrance. It's really the best of the drugstore lotions.

Queen Helene's Cocoa Butter Body & Hand Lotion.

I use this and it's very good. Not expensive at all. You can find it at an ordinary dollar store.

Default An Excellent Moisturizer

for dry skin that I use, and it is quite inexpensive is called: "JASON." It is natural and organic, hydrates the skin, and it has 5,000 i.u. vitamin E. Four ounces cost me in the NorthEast, about $6.00. It is very creamy.

I like it better than Olay, Prescriptives, and many of the other expensive brands that I have used, in the past. I also use "Fruit of the Earth," cream with Vitamin E, also in 4 0z., for $3.00. Their hand cream for dry skin is also, excellent.

For my very-dry skin, I use mostly creams rather than lotions.

I have the original bag balm ointment but use it rarely for irritations in private places and it works great. Don't like the smell, just put some on my hands, very greasy, will check out the udderly smooth! Thanks pitt.

Aquaphor (Eucerin) is very good for really dry skin. I also like Palmers Cocoa Butter- used that during pregnancy.

I use JASON body wash & love it

I like Jason also. I used Palmers cocoa butter during my pregnancy too, many. many years ago. Hopefully I will be buying some for my DD soon.
