Haha, I thought that maybe your concern with your hairy legs may have had something to with th e fact that leg hair is a bit incongruous with skirts and high heels. And that hair is hell to deal with when you're wearing stockings a lot......
I just wanted to do it after so many yrs. The stubble can be bad though.
And hard on your partner. Just sayin'
My SO stopped racing last year (life got in the way...) but he still shaves. Thank goodness. Nothing better than TWO pairs of freshly shaved legs between clean sheets. ~sigh~
Actually you are correct in the swimming department. But I did 22 years in the military, have run countless charity running events (PR: 10K @ 43:42 *12/2009)...dabbled in roadracing 2006-2008--TREK still in the garage.
BLUF- I've witnessed many a hairy legged man pass up some she-male hairless wonder with his little 'wannabe' yellow bracelet and lycra bathing suit.
"Dabbled" being the key word. At the Pro/Cat I level....not gonna happen.
p.s. my 10K PR is faster than yours. And I shave. Oh, and I'm female.

This is what got me to do it to begin with. WHEN you do shave with no stubble, it feels so nice.
