I disapprove of the belt. If the jeans were a little less baggy, maybe with a black belt, I think that would be better. That brown just glares at me.

The shirt is OK.

Edited: I take it back about the jeans. I think with a chunky shoe or boot, they'd look fine. The bootcut just looked a little baggy with socks.

Hmmm....agreed with apropriate for going to Home Depot or a casual beer watching the game in the living room....and thats about it. It doesn't fit as well as it should though.
The jeans are nice.
Not crazy about the belt either, the contrasting stitch would look better if they were brown not white.

I think he looks fine - jeans and shirt are basic but look perfectly OK.

The belt is awful and that needs to be changed!

I think it depends on where you live, too. In Oregon that would be fine. Heck - that would be "dressed up" in Oregon! (We currently live in Oregon where people wear Birkenstock sandals, cut-offs, and tie-dye to the symphony and fancy Italian restaurants - seriously.) But in bigger cities or places where people do judge you based on what you wear (Oregonians don't give a flip) he might want to rethink the shirt... and the belt. And the jeans. The fake faded down to the knee jeans thing went out a long time ago. He might be wearing his clothes extra baggy to appear larger - I have known some men who have tried that. It doesn't really work like they think it might... it makes them look manorexic, or just plain goofy.
