My tall skinny 12 year old daughter has outgrown her size 10 shoes. We went shopping last night for black dress shoes for a choir concert and found that most shoes stop at a 10. We found one pair of 11's she liked, but they were too big in the heels and her feet came out.
I have no idea where to get her shoes now- I'm a size 8 so this is totally new for me. She is likely to keep growing, she'd 5'6'' now and will probably end up 5'10 ''at least. I guess she's a size 10 1/2 which we saw NO WHERE. And she likes younger styles, not Stride Rite. Oh, and I don't want to spend more than like $30.00 for her shoes until I'm sure she's done growing.
Where do you find bigger, cute shoes at a good price?
You can try Zappos.com or Shoes.com. You will most likely have a problem finding inexpensive shoes on these sites though. My son's big feet have been an issue since he went into size 14 sneakers at around the age of 12. Fortunately, he wears a size 13 dress shoe, and those are easier to find in stores. When I needed sneakers or cleats for him I had to buy through Eastbay.com, and it was never cheap.

I wear 10 1/2 too. Youre right its hard to find without paying $$$$. Depends on the shoe sometimes a 10w wll work. Tell your daughter to try a size 11 with a REALLY thick insole. Takes up the slack and makes hard soled shoes a lot more comfortable too.
Is there a Payless shoe store near you. Ive seen up to size 13 in store. Check out the website. They have free shipping to the nearest store.

For in store shopping try Nine West, Aldo, Nordstrom, Payless, DSW and sometimes Marshalls/TJMaxx carries up to an 11. Bakers and Steve Madden may carry up to 11 as well.

But has anybody checked out shoes for cross dressers. Men cant hide their big feet. I cant wear heels anymore (bum knee) but I miss them when I dress up. I do wear an 11 so I do feel your shoe pain.

I feel her pain! I buy my shoes at Nordstrom. But you will not spend $30 there. For inexpensive shoes up to size 12 or 13 I would recommend Payless Shoe Source. Another option to think about in tennis shoes is mens. Especially in the skate shoes the kids wear they all look similar. Converse are popular too and they run long but the boys and girls are pretty much unisex. Good luck!
