The stick-skinny, celery-and-cigarettes crowd of female models will likely never go out of fashion but now their more substantial sisterhood is giving them a run for their money.

Glamour magazine fired the first shot last year when it featured a photo of plus-size model Lizzie Miller flashing a broad smile while letting her belly show.

I know I'll be going against the grain, but I prefer thin to chubby. :/
Not ribs-showing skinny, but nicely slim and toned.

Urgh...really?
That's not a plus size woman. She's not even chubby really, she's just not toned, and she's carrying that "belly" in the hardest part to lose weight for a woman. Honestly, it looks like the belly of a woman who had a child and just couldn't get rid of that belly flesh.

She looks like an average weight woman, with an average body. Ooooh so scandalous.

Bravo to V Magazine.

To me, I think plus-sized models are better role models for girls. They don't smoke, drink, have an eating disorder, and love life (live like normal people when they aren't modeling). I love that about them.

Seems like the skinny ones, you always hear about are at some party all the time, drinking (Janice Dickinson, Kate Moss, Stephanie Seymour, etc.), smoking, doing drugs (Janice again and Kate again), beat up someone (Naomi Campbell), gets divorced all the time (Christie Brinkley), and/or have an eating disorder (they all look like they do one way or another). It's sickening to me.

The only skinny supermodel I ever liked was Kathy Ireland. She's a born-again Christian and has always had a great reputation (she obviously didn't fall for the stupid modeling egos, like the others).

I think both of these covers just suck.

On one cover, they show a female whose hair is bigger than she is... and on the other, they have a photograph of a female whose second or third chin seems to be the center of attention.

Personally, I prefer models who are neither emaciated nor obese.

Hey, what's Dakota Fanning doing in there? With those ladies squishing their squishies around, I feel weird with Dakota watching.

I'd prefer to see models in between those sizes. Not super skinny, but not hugely over-weight, either. A healthy size.
