It’s one thing for a “pill-addled trainwreck” to be photographed in sweatpants—but now that affable everyman Adam Sandler has been caught wearing a pair of the “home only” garments (and, worse, Ugg slippers) out to brunch, it’s time to be concerned. Sweatpants “are the universal wardrobe shorthand for sloth and lassitude,” writes Sean Macaulay in the Daily Beast, and it’s time to stop wearing them in public.

Seriously, who cares? If they want to wear sweats out, and be comfortable good for them. They are constantly scrutinized in the media and by the public. I can't imagine living my life like that.

I couldn't see the image of him for some reason, but it doesn't bother me. Celebrities shouldn't be expected to dress their best every time they step outside their home.

I wear sweatpants out sometimes, I don't care what people dress in. If they're comfortable, let them be. Just my thought.

I don't see much to worry about. But me, personally, I only wear mine when I'm working out outside and it's still cold out (like when I go jogging or taking a long walk around the park). Then I think it's okay.

Oh for heaven's sakes, people have been doing this the last fifteen years! It's nothing new! And yes, it looks shoddy and unkempt. The pajama bottom-wearing is the newest violation to our eyes.

Complaining about sweats in public? Seriously???!!! I saw 2 different people wearing actual pajamas in stores during the holiday season and no one gave a second glance. People are far too wrapped up in clothes and fashion with all the worries we have in this world. Just be glad to end each day peacefully and let others be.

I have no problem with it at all, I prefer that to some of the other **outfits I have seen.
Scary just going grocery shopping sometimes.
