I own no fewer than 15 hats, about half of them fedoras or porkpies. I was into hats before they came back in style. In hipper neighborhoods in Brooklyn hats are definitely "in".
When I lived in Fayetteville Arkansas (yes it's a large city) I wore a fedora with a suit at work and when going out. Women would always say, "wow" and I would get lots of smiles. Now in western Colorado, I wear cowboy hat which is more practical. I had a stupid kid ask me once, "you a cowboy", with his goofy baseball cap turned sideways. I asked him, "you a ballplayer?" Anyway, I wish fedoras would return, baseball caps look stupid and cheap, especially when turned sideways or backwards.
Some are wearing hats. They are just over all so appalling that I have to gag at the sight of some of them. The hat look went away as soon as scarfs became the new thing for girls.

Well I like fedoras and would happily wear one if dressed in a suit and tie. However here in Arizona it's a little too hot for that look except for special occasions.
My grandfather used to wear hats in the 70s and 80s. I always referred to them as "grandpa hats" lol!
I would find it annoying to always wear a hat like that. Plus it would mess up my hair. I'm definitely not a hat person. I only own one ball cap, and that's only for a "bad hair day" emergency.
I still wear cute little straw hats because if Im in the sun I dont want that sun burning my face or forehead .
