I haven't been wearing earrings lately but did get my ears pierced years ago. The clip ons were uncomfortable to me.
Do you wear earrings? If so, which type?

I have pierced ears. I don't usually wear earrings, but when I do, I prefer the hook style. The straight posts with the little stopper on the back end up poking me in the neck.

Clip-ons are usually too pinchy.

Pierced ears here x 44 years.
I wear earrings every day-studs-hoops, dangles-I would feel not completely dressed if I didn't have earrings on-for me it completes my outfit.

Pierced here too (actually, mine are double pierced)...but I often forget to actually wear earrings...I also prefer the wire kind. Posts end up irritating my ears after a few hours (doesn't matter what they are made of - my ears just don't like them)

You're right, the ones with the posts can stick you. I like the hook style too but have both kinds.
I don't have the multiple piercings in each ear either, just one.

A little off-topic, but this thread made me think of it. I had a pair of dangly gold earrings that I LOVED. They went with everything. I lost one and have had the other for about three years in my jewelry box, hoping that the lost one will turn up someday. The store where I got them didn't carry them anymore (you know how it goes), and I've never found another pair I liked as much. Grrr.

And speaking of clip-on, my mom collects costume jewelry, and I borrowed a pair of antique Weiss clip-on earrings from her to wear on my 21st birthday. My boyfriend took me to a nice restaurant, and the earrings went perfectly with my long red dress. They were red with an aurora borealis finish, very pretty. I lost one! My mom was so mad. That was 15 years ago, and I still look in antique stores or online shops, hoping to see a pair like those.

I know how annoying it is to lose one earring. Most of mine are costume jewelry, I do have one pair with a small diamond, I'm always afraid of losing one or both.

Small studs. I want to find small hoops to wear, but I can't find any of those....only big ones

Clip-on ones are a bit nice, especially if you are into the whole cartilage scene, but hate getting stabbed there. Though, clip-ons are uncomfortable after awhile...

The majority of my earrings are pierced, but I do have a number of clip-ons which are costume pieces that are on the heavier side.

I have double pierced ears and usually wear stud earrings - the little ones that look like diamonds but aren't. They don't get in the way and look nice
