That ,in turn, cause those with tattoo's to get VERY, VERY defensive of their choice to have a tattooed body even tho their choice will never really be acceptable due to the normal social opinion of them.
Can you please cite a poll, or something along those lines? I don't think your personal opinion should count as 'mainstream' America's opinion.

Although I did find this from Harris Interactive:

A majority of Americans with tattoos (83%) do not regret getting them, while 17% do feel regret. The survey found that regret for getting a tattoo was highest among tattooed Republicans (24%) and among those living in the South (21%). And, the reason cited most often for feeling regret about getting tattoos was "because of the person's name in the tattoo" (16%).

Hmmm....

I also tend to think that people who get tattoos, especially those who have a lot of them, have something that's a little off about them emotionally.

Does anyone else, agree? Disagree? I'm sure the people who have tatoos will disagree and most of those who agree won't have them.

Am I the only one who wishes this thread would go out of style ?

Not that I expect any reply, as I am in the persona non grata category.

According to these randomly selected polls, facts and opinion paint the story that Tattoo's and other body vandalism are not acceptable to the general public.

Do I need more to back up my statements that tattoo's are an abnormal behavior? No, I don't think so since I've made my point here..........

Millennials' Judgments About Recent Trends Not So Different - Pew Research Center --Wow.... the older you are, the less you accept tattoos.... amazing

Point of view: Is body art in or out? A blog. From Berkeley University. I'm sure I could go out and interview 50 people about tattoos, but only publish the ones that would cause controversy so as to increase the people reading my article too.

http://www.fda.gov/downloads/ForCons.../ucm048941.pdf All stuff that I already know, and that we've talked about ad nauseum.

Increase in Tattoos Not Popular With General Public - Asylum.com A direct quote from that blog "We speculate that the continued hostility toward tattoos exists primarily because people only remember when they see a truly awful one."

Primate Headache: People Against Tattoos (PAT) A blog. Again. A CHRISTIAN blog that quotes the bible. Of course Christians are against tattoos, their 'god' told them to be.

Tattoo Facts & Statistics - real info on tattoos and tattooing - What you need to know. Regarding all those graphs and percentages, it looks to me that about 30% of people without tattoos think about tattoos in a negative light, it also depends on your age. 30% is not exactly the majority....

Do I need more to back up my statements that tattoo's are an abnormal behavior? No, I don't think so since I've made my point here..........
No point made. Linking a bunch of opinion pieces and blogs doesn't quite count.

Jetjockey, you beat me to the punch, I was just framing the same replies.
Try again, Tightwad, but this time, try to keep your own opinion out of it.

Good for you, I completely disagree. I could post a bunch of blogs that 'prove' my point, but that would be as pointless as you posting blogs that 'prove' whatever point you have.

And by the way.... one of your links was satire... can you guess which one? Perfect example of POE'S law

I caught that, had a good laugh over it.....of course, satire is VERY subtle, some people cant process it.
