I know there are many tall women like me on these boards!

I got a catalog yesterday for Long Tall Sally, a company I've never bought from before. I really like the look of their clothes, but they are a little on the expensive side and I've never seen their stuff in person. Do any of you shop with them? Are they a reliable store? Is their stuff nice?

Tall Maxi Skirt- Patchwork Print Long Multicoloured Skirt

I love this skirt.

I ordered a pair of dress pants from them a number of years ago. The quality was ok, but nothing I would rave about. I haven't ordered anything from them since, but that's mainly because I haven't seen anything that's really caught my eye.

I've looked at them a number of times, but could never get excited enough about anything to actually order. I hate having to order clothes before trying them on....such a gamble! I have ordered a few times from Long Elegant Legs. About the same price points as Long Tall Sally. My experience with LEL was that the clothes run smaller for me than the same sizes from other places, rarely turn out to be the quality they appear in the catalog, and their inventory never seems to change! Will probably not order any more in the future, although I still get the catalogs.

Recently discovered a New York & Company store in my town and they actually HAVE the tall sizes right IN their store so I can try them on right there before I buy! I love that! Saves me so much time returning things mail order! They are my go-to store now! If you haven't tried them....give them a look! And their prices are so reasonable....not to mention, they have great coupon offers all the time!

You know what...after reading the above post, I think those pants I ordered came from LEL and not LTS! I ordered those pants probably about 7 years ago, so you'll have to forgive me!

I've been to Tall Girl--I used to live in California and there was a store in Irvine. It IS nice to be able to try things on. Sometimes the fabrics are much chintzier than they look online or in a catalog, which I hate. I just really liked the look of the outfits put together in the LTS catalog.

Thanks for the recommendation about New York & Co. I don't think I own anything from them. Suits come to mind ... do they make suits? I used to have to wear suits every day, so I liked Jones New York. Maybe that's why: New York's in the name.

This is a UK store? Can you order from anywhere in the US?

You're right! I didn't notice that it's a UK-based store. I got the catalog in the mail and just flipped through it. They ship to the US and shipping costs aren't bad ($10 for orders up to $100, $15 up to $200), but it says that duty might be payable. I've never had to deal with that before.

Yeah! I was bummed when they closed all their US stores! I used to get out to Phoenix once in a while and always looked forward to making a trip in to shop. Guess that's over. I did visit a store location in Vancouver once....loved it and dropped some coin there! The clothes were good quality and I'm still wearing them! (Going on about 5 years now!) Guess Tall Girl will be my excuse to get up to Vancouver now!

About suits....Yep! NY&C's got 'em....and what I like is that I can buy the pants and jackets seperately! (Who is *really* ever the same size on top as they are on the bottom??? Hmmm????) I hate stores where you have to buy the outfit as THEY pkg. them. (2 piece swimsuits come to mind...but I digress....)

I have never purchased anything from Long Tall Sally, but they did just open a store in Mall of America last month. I've also been hearing that they are going to continue to expand throughout the US.

Apparently Tall Girl (the store where I used to shop) is the same as or affiliated with Long Tall Sally.

I noticed that the U.S. site doesn't have exactly the same items as in the British catalog, but most are available and shipped from a domestic distributor. Sweet, no customs!

I love this top with the faded jeans in the pic.
