Almay's Smart Shade Makeup (tone, light, pale, look)

Four months ago (7/2009) I was over joyed to find a makeup that actually matched my skin tone. Almay's Smart Shade Make up. I have very fair skin and the 100 Light is perfect.

Recently I went to use the makeup only to find that is no longer the normal #100 Light, but has changed to a very dark ORANGY color.

Has anyone had this same problem? I have been unable to locate a place on the web to contact Almay or Almay's owner, Revelon.

The exact same thing happened to me. I hadn't used it in a few months and when I went to use it again, it was white with gray dots in it and I put it on my skin and it was dark orange. It was either old or sat too long and seperated. I don't knw.

I haven't had that exact problem, but I did notice that if I didn't blend the foundation very quickly (dotting it around my face and then blending wasn't quick enough), it would turn very orange and not blend well. I stopped using it after a while. The liquid blush was OK.

I recently purchased the light shade so its still available. I noticed it was real dark compared to what shade its suppose to be. Almay always had a tendency in the past for the old style liquid foundation to look orange in the bottle. I think its just Almay. I have no idea what to wear since all other kinds of makeup irritate my skin. I just recently started trying to wear makeup again because where I currently live most women don't even wear makeup.

When the foundation turns a color, its gone bad. NYX makes a really pale liquid foundation if you want to check it out. Its light to med coverage and stays wet long enough to spread it all around evenly. It has a nice lifelike finish but you can matte it out with a finishing powder.
