Question would siloam springs be a good place to raise a family?

Any info on the schools and property prices would be helpful. Are there any lakes there? Do they allow boating if so?

Default Siloam Springs

Siloam Springs is the home of John Brown University. The schools in Siloam Springs are part of the Benton County system, and are very good. Siloam is on the border with Oklahoma, West Siloam Springs is in Oklahoma, and the transition between Arkansas and Oklahoma is marked by a casino. The old part of town is very nice, there is a beautiful park and some lovely older homes. That said, Siloam Springs is a bit of a drive from the rest of the growth in Northwest Arkansas. There are several shopping centers but in my opinion, and other people might disagree, I think the shopping is on the ho-hum side. Highway 412 will take to directly to Springdale, where you can get on 540 to get to Rogers/Bentonville or south to Fayetteville. There are a number of other rural highways in and out of the area. I'm not familiar with the lakes in that part of the county, but I assume there are some to go along with the natural springs that are all over the Ozarks. I generally pass through Siloam Springs on my way to Tulsa or other places in Oklahoma, many people have told me that Siloam Springs has a lower cost of living than the rest of Benton County. Siloam Springs also hosts a drum corps competition/exhibition each summer that I enjoy along with my parents. Hope this helps!
