What percent of those----25,250-- people moved to Bella Vista from California ?

The answer to that would determine if the OP's assertaion was valid or drama ?

I have no idea, my point simply was we have a few more people than you thought we have. Obviously the majority did not come from California, a good number came from Iowa, Mn and Wisconsin. And yes, many from California. Again, we all know the Op as using the term lightly...Of course everyone leaving Ca, which is many are not all coming to AR.

It is beautiful, low cost of living, lots to do and great for seniors. Those all seem to be good reasons to move to Bella Vista and especially from California. My parents moved from California to Eastern OK, where I am but with lack of "stuff" we found them a great place to live in Bella Vista. They are happy and I am not too worried about them being alone.

Oh for heavens sake, take a couple things into consideration:1-those states are certainly not recent and 2-compare the size of the state. 3-location of the states. What do you have against AR? You seem to post stuff like this all the time. Of course more are leaving CA for neighboring states and Texas, though not a neighboring state is one of the fastest growning states plus many companies are transferring people from one state to another. To make your point, you would have to knwo why there people are moving which of course, no one can do that...

Nope, not --- all the time--.

Only when a thread is asking why everyone from California is moving to Bella Vista.

If you live in NWA and get the Sunday paper you may want to read an article on page one of the NorthWest AR, section B. The census, apparently will show over 53% of the people in NWA are now from out of state and the states they are coming from: NY,TX and yes, California.

Do I post about California's moving here a lot and why, yes, when it is on this thread, but certainly I didn't start this thread. I wouldn't have a problem with anyone questioning the remarks except taking the word everyone to literally is not what I do. Maybe it is just me, but I don't think the OP meant everyone leaving Ca is really moving to NWA.

Oh, off subject, but I don't know where you got you information about people leaving Ca and moving to NV and AZ. Right now, both those states have an economy almost as bad as California's. About 2 or 3, maybe 5 years ago this was certainly the case, I haven't seen figures but don't think it is today.

This is kind of from the original post, but a few years back I remember seeing Estrada in an infomercial pitching homesites in California.

Irony...

Would you believe that I had contacted the site number on his infomercial and they couldn't sell to Oklahoma. What in the world did that have to do with it. Anyway, after checking out prices his were double in price.

I haven't read any of this thread, but I'm sure at least a handful of the answers were along the lines:

"For traditional Christian values, to get away from the illegals, and to get away from crazy tax and spend liberals." Am I right?
