I've spent a few days here, got a day left. Aside from utilizing my property to T&E a few firearm related things and seeing my friends here, I'm trying to sample local things. Last time it was Guisanos*sp, this time, I'm having supper at Tusk and Trotter. Hogzilla burger, homage to Arkansas and all. Anything else I should do tomorrow before I head back to my residence for the next couple months?

How did you like Guisanos? it is one of our favorite pizza places. There is a great sub shop in Bentonville called the Firehouse. But you may be heading back to early to give them a try. Otherwise, foodwise, most of the places I can think of are lunch and dinner. Have a safe trip back to LA>

I hear good things about Which Wich (sandwich shop) 1406 S Walton Blvd, Bentonville, AR 72712

Crystal bridges is a nice place to sit and eat as you chat and overlook the structure some.

Don't you just hate to go home? I always did when we went to the cabin.

The Firehouse? You mean firehouse subs, the chain? Gross. Much better non-chain options in Rogers/Bentonville

Check out Pedlar's Pub(pizza), Does Eatplace (Steak), and Ron's Chili(Hamburgers). If you're looking for a place close(r) to Garfield, check out Rail Pizza. They have fantastic wings and pizza, probably the best wings in NWA.

One thing for sure, your stress level goes down from LA to NWA. You sound pretty content in your first post anyway (lol) I also enjoy Penguin Eds as well. Ordered a ham for Thanksgiving.

lets face it,food is very subjecctive: we happen to think they have the best subs since we left California and we have had a lot. Yes, it is a chain.

Snaple4, I haven't eaten at the which wich here: we eaten at 2 others, one near Dallas that was wonderful and one near U of Ok which was the worst place we have ever eaten. Well not the worst, but close. Like most chains, I think it depends, each is a little different.

One thing I learned once I left NYC many moons ago, that I will never, ever find pizza, subs, hotdogs, knishes, and just about every food on earth, that will compare to that place, no matter where I go in the USA. I live in the pacific northwest and I assure you, I have not had a real great dish, or sub, or real slice of pizza, in years. (With the exception of Indian food) That is one thing that gets left behind whenever one leaves NYC, all NY'er's know this.

Well, thanks, all! I just ended up going back to Tusk and Trotter. Great place.
Anyway, I'm back in Louisiana and hating it. I should be permanently moved around Feb. I'm hoping, though!

I hope you can get back in February. March is usually a bad weather time for us. ( I don't know if this year will be mild or we will get dumped on) But, our worst weather is usually Feb/March. Anyway-- I am glad you had a good time. There isn't a lot of stress here.. or if there is, I am not aware of it.

Edit: I take that back.. there is stress when driving. It's because 1-49 is pretty tore-up and the back roads are clogged with people. When they finally get the three lanes on both sides.. it will help. The back roads are just as clogged as 1-49, right now and 1-49 is not exactly a center for such places as Madison County and parts of Springdale, although the Don Tyson exit, helps. I did visit Madison County tonight and saw the newest Wal-Mart design. I don't live very far from the lake actually.
