Coming from San Diego, I'm sure you'll have some $ to put into equities or wherever you choose.

Well...if we were selling our San Diego property we would but with the way rents are escalating everywhere we should be just fine.

Deal is Done! Our new house is supposed to be finished in November

Thanks Nita

Yep, we are excited and will enjoy this process as much as we can. Will probably make 2-3 trips back before, during construction and at closing. Then the move Actually won't be bad at all since we are keeping our property here and will buy mostly new furniture.

That was our plan, to keep our N TX home for several months or even longer. Buying all new furniture was fun and made for an easy move.
But within a month, we realized we had no desire at all to return to TX so we sold the house there. We listed it on a Friday, accepted an offer on Sunday, then had to scramble to sell the furniture and move the rest of our belongings. Happily all done now.

Our plan is to come back here a couple times a year to visit but that is a pretty expensive luxury. We actually have 2 houses on 2 1/2 acres and the front house pays the mortgage and property tax. We can keep it and have a place to stay when we are in town, rent out the other house and pocket the $$ or sell and pocket more $$$$. I have a habit of collecting things, the house in NWA would be #5 but am really looking forward to having 1 house and getting rid of a vehicle or two. We currently have four.

Just came back for 5 days. We went to the design center and picked out all our options.

Wow, what a difference on how green everything is compared to March. Beautiful.

It is green and will remain that way most of the summer, especially with all the rain. We were about 9 inches over normal and that was based on reports Wednesday. I am sure it is much higher now. Our paper is always a day late on reporting the amount of rain.
