Fayetteville Named Fifth Best to Live, 2nd year in a Row! Yee HAw! Austin is number one!

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- For the second year in a row, the Fayetteville metro area has been named the fifth best place to live in the United States.
The ranking, made by U.S. News & World Report, is part of the magazine's list of the 2018 Best Places to Live. The Fayetteville ranking actually includes the metropolitan area of Northwest Arkansas, including Bentonville, Rogers and Springdale.

This is the third year in a row for Fayetteville to be ranked in the Top 5 of that ranking. We were #3 in 2016.

That's a sloppy job by a news organization to leave that point out.

I've got to question any list that includes Denver in the top 10 best places to live. Not that it's not a great area, it is - but the housing situation is absolutely atrocious unless you make six figures. The col and an average family being able to afford decent housing should be very high factors to make the top 10 imo. I'd also have to question Colorado Springs ranking this high - the areas where you can actually buy a decent house for $250k are very high crime and run down. The nice areas the homes are $350k and up. I know this because I shopped the area a year ago. The Springs can be either great or a total ****hole, depending on which side of the city you are in.
The other 3 areas I get. It seems they are just calling the northwest Arkansas region "Fayetteville" - and I agree that it's a very good area taking in all factors.

Well a couple things come to mind: 1-remember this is just the opinion of one company and is based on a lot of factors. the other thing is: yes, it has been explained before Fayetteville refers to the entire NWA region.
