Don't know if liquor is sold in Aldi's there, but up here they really have some exceptional values on wine, and especially around holidays. From what I understand, Aldi and Trader Joe's are run by two brothers from Germany. Each running his own brand but sharing when beneficial to both. As a result, in both stores you can find very good quality for exceptional value. Oh my wife says Aldi's brand goods and Trader Joe's brand are one in the same.
Always good to have options! 😄
Don't laugh, but we love their $2.89 wine. No, we would not offer it to friends, but for our late afternoon beverage we often have a glass or two. We also love their produce for the prince and with this being off season for so many veggies we love going to Aldi's o stock up. In fact that is what we will be doing this coming Monday after we do our Water Walking which we try to get in 3 times a week. BTW, I am glad you know the story behind Aldis and Trader Joe's. The only part you have missed is, both brothers have died and other family members have taken over. I am sure that is why the Wine for under $3 is drinkable, it is similare to $2 buck Chuck which btw is now $3 I think.

Lol, yes we grab a cheap bottle on occasion there too but they also have very good wine at very fair prices. My wife used to buy most of her baking supplies, cheese, and too many frozen German desserts and chocolates as well. Aldi cheese was about half price of national brands. Lots of savings without giving up quality. We are now both vegan so our shopping there has changed but we still regularly go for produce as mentioned already. Tuesday is a day when produce shipments arrive at least in our store. You might want to check with mgmt as what day their produce arrives. I say this because if we go there on other days the good produce is picked over.

you are probably right about the day of the week: we enjoy going on Wednesday when the ads come out but often find ourselves having to do on Mondays. On Mondays everything seems to be picked over. But, for instance this coming week: we have our once a month housekeeper coming so like to get out of the house, plus on Tues and Wed I have Bridge. So that pretty much gets up stuck with the day or the week we wish we were not going to be there.
