For me it was ice storms I hated most. Fortunately they were relatively short lived.

Here in SW Co. there is almost no severe heat, cold, snow,or other weather. Sounds boring doesn't it.
But, there is wildfire danger depending on your living in or adjacent to the drying forests.
Jim
Where exactly in SW Colo? I'd consider it.

Great replies, folks. Thanks. I think my ideal climate would be more along the line of Raleigh or Asheville NC--I'd guess a somewhat more mild version of NWA's climate. Charlotte, for example, almost never goes below 0. But dear family is in Denver, and NWA is fairly close (relatively)

do you mean below 0 or below 32? NWA rarely goes below 0 as well. After 10 years I can probably count on one hand how many times this has happened.

nmnita, yes I meant below zero F. I guess I was basing my opinion on historical weather data (record low temps over decades of data.)

But you're right. It's not a common occurrence like in Minneapolis.

I honestly don't know what climate feature I will dislike the most, but I have a hunch it will be the tornado risk (we have almost zero risk here in Phoenix.) Thanks!
Humidity. I've had to really use some tech to keep humidity levels below 35% year round in the arms room. In NWLA, I didnt need a thing, believe it or not.

Yeah, they're nice areas (4 corners) but too small and remote for me.
