Thanks Jim, we might try to make it down there this spring. I'll keep you in mind. It would be good to start making some connections.

Little Lake Sophia near the east gate. I know it's a small lake, but we will enjoy the quiet and can kayak without too many boats running around. Just sit on the dock with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine sounds great to me. Are you in the Village??

I live near Lake Sophia, but itís the only lake in the village I have not fished. I understand there is a kayak/canoe launch ramp there now.

Yes, I live on Granada golf course and Lake Sophia is very close to me. We have several friends that live on Lake Estrella which is just down our street. You sure won't have to worry about boat traffic for sure!!

We have been here for almost 8 years and love it but I have owned property here since 1998. I have known for a long time that this is where I wanted to retire but I am from Arkansas so I was a little biased!!

Welcome and I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do, I just wish we could get a blasted grocery store back on this side.

There is a boat launch just off of Elcano Dr. We did see some fishing boats out when we visited, but it is a no wake lake. From what I am told the bass and sunfish are plentiful.

We are looking forward to it. This is step one in the overall plan; decide on a community, so that's done. Next step will be when to build and who to have build a home for us. Yes, the lack of a grocery store near by is a concern, but perhaps someone will realize the opportunity soon.

I had Sophia confused with Segovia, the tiny lake on the west side.

Sophia is small, but Segovia is even smaller. We'll have to get used to lake size coming form Minnesota, but water is water. There is something about the peace and calm about a lake no matter the size. AND I don't have to worry about lake ice.

We have been hoping that for a couple of years now. A pharmacy is getting ready to build outside the east gate next to the bank. When that is done maybe it will convince someone to build a store there. Before you build your home send me a PM and I'll give you some good builders and one to stay away from.

Thanks bto, I will take you up on the offer of builder information when ready.
