I certainly hope he is right. I do know there was a big article in the Vista Wed about the plans, but I haven't taken time to read it and when I was with some of my friends living on the east side this past few days, the topic didn't come up

Just drove by and checked it out, they've got a lot of earthmovers at work - what a relief.

Heard a couple of days ago it will take 4 weeks to move all the earth and another 4 to put the fire out. That puts us into early June which is just fine. It certainly is better than 6 months or so.

4029 has an article saying the POA will assume responsibility of cleanup and has 45ish days to complete and will be around $4 million. Good news for those around the area b/c it will actually get done. Bad news for POA coffers.

such a kind sole you are!!!!!!!! I know of a house on the west side that needs some landscaping help and even will need to be painted on the exterior in the next year or so: do you have enough left after donating to the POA to donate to the owners of that house? They are really nice people but getting pretty old!!!!

We had considered BV as a possible retirement spot since our kids went to UofA we grew to like the area but am now quite concerned about possible longterm health/environment issues with the fire as well as property values. Has the city provided any longterm forecasting for these issues or how far spread the issue is (all of BV, just areas, beyond BV, etc) It's been a little difficult to follow the developments.
