Hi,
I'm a participant on "Obamacare" ACA Marketplace Health insurance in my area (Phoenix, AZ.) My annual deductibe is around $7500/yr and my monthly premiums are about $150.

How do my rates compare with any of you in NWA on the ACA Marketplace health plans? Thanks.
(BTW, I think my plan's deductible STINKS and lots of doctors won't take my insurance plan.)

There is a way you can get the rates based on your information (age, gender, etc). We used to have to buy our own insurance and I checked on the healthcare.gov site. I'm not sure I remember exactly how but once you get so far into it, there was an option for just checking rates without signing up for anything.

I didn't realize non smoker or drinker had anything to do with ACA.

I will be joining the ACA in AZ this fall. It looks like my choice will be a HSA eligible high deductible plan at $785 a month. $6,550 out of pocket max. 63 years old, male.

This compares to my current grandmothered plan in Iowa at $701 a month, $1,900/2,900 out of pocket HSA high deductible plan. $1,900 medical and pharmacy, the additional out of pocket is pharmacy only, an extra $1,000 until I hit $2,900.

The major difference is in the out of pocket which makes me cringe, BUT it is only for a year then I will be 65! and on Medicare.

I don't know whether it makes me laugh or cry when people complain about $300 or less premiums a month, really????
