Just a heads up, because this is one of the busiest spots in Benton County.

This will be interesting to see how traffic adjusts to the change. It will certainly make going from Rogers to Bentonville on 102 a lot easier. Won't have to worry about the long line backing up of people getting on the highway.

Edit: does anyone know when they will upgrade the rest of the interchange?

It doesn't look like it is totally closed.

The northbound on ramp on to I 49 and the southbound off ramp from I 49 to 102 are closed.

If you are entering the freeway southbound onto I 49 and the northbound I 49 traffic exiting to take 102 are going to be still open.

You are right, but those of us traveling from Bella Vista it is a pain. We hit it yesterday on our way to Sam's I am sure we will all survive and improvements sometimes come with temporary inconveniences

i'm expecting them to switch the exits around just like exit 88 (central ave) so that nobody crosses the road for entering or exiting the highway.

I just wanted to vent about something that really irks me. NWA is not an economically depressed area and only has one major interstate running through it. Why didn't they install lights along the highway? Most cities with major interstates are lit up at night. I personally think its unacceptable and a safety hazard.

Understand your ranting but I would suggest if this is such an issue you write to your congressman, Steve Womack and let him know how you feel. Also send a copy to your state senator.

When it was built it wasn't classified as an urban interstate and therefore wasn't lit up like one. I used to think this exact thing several years ago though, there's no good reason it shouldn't be lit like a normal city interstate now.

I prefer it without the lights. Less light pollution, less expense for taxpayers in electricity, equipment, repairs..., and I find it easier to drive in at night.

I am sure the last point will be different for other people but the other points are worth not installing them.

I definitely don't find it easier to drive at night. Although still possible, it's likely too late now anyways. Oh well.
