Oh, and one additional thought... I don't know about chiggers here in NWA, but MOSQUITOS are realllllllyyyyyy bad in Jonesboro.. It's CRAZY!! They bring out mosquito repellant trucks at night and spray everywhere. It looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. And it's because of the rice production and all the rice fields there. So stay away from towns that grow lots of rice or you'll get carried away by the mosquitos. I haven't seen a single one here, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

Oh, and Jonesboro is northEAST arkansas, not to be confused with NWA. Just a little clarification.

Ok, here is the picture of the inside of the persimmon seeds from last fall. You all decide what it looks like, I don't see a spoon OR a knife.
All would be "spoons" except perhaps the bottom left that you might be able to call a knife. Maybe there should be a new category, heart = mild winter?? cuz I'd sure call this last winter pretty mild. LOL

These would have "predicted" last winter's weather. It was a very mild one here, btw.

I have pecan "worms" too, but they are not half as bad as persimmon seeds....I swear, I'm not lying, those seeds came up in a spot where I had about a 6-inch layer of leaves piled up! The pile was about 10 inches high in the fall when I put it there! They're monsters! They're aliens! AHHHHHHH!!!
