Hi Debbie,

Actually they bought it as a vacation home for the time being. I am hoping they will take early retirement in 3 to 5 years, but she says 5-7 years. Either way, they plan on visiting every month or so.. We are so excited...

They closed on Dec 22nd and were able to have Christmas dinner at the new place. It was kinda hectic but fun, snow and all.

Since the move is now a certainty, I would love to get any info/opinions on home sale / housing price trends for the Rogers/Bentonville area. We already realized a very large loss on the sale of a previous home 2 years ago which led us to rent the past 2 years. Though I am eager to own again, my husband is not. We would expect to be in NWA for about 3-5 years, have 3 young children and would plan to spend $500-$700K on a home. Can anyone please give info/thoughts on how much housing prices have declined in the past few years, and what the current trends are? I have seen some published data here and on various websites but I'd love more info - article links, opinions, etc. Thanks so much. We are looking forward to our move and I'm sure I'll have many more questions to come!
If your still looking for homes in the NWA area there is a great sort after subdivision called Turnberry at the Peaks. Homes in the price range you are wanting in the 500k and right now some great homes for sale at steal below 500k because of market conditions. This is a great community close to I540, hospitals, and shopping. Within walking distance to the open air mall Pinnacle Promenade. If you are here short term of 5 years investing in buying one of these homes in this very sort after subdivision would be a great investment for your family. Bellview elementary school a real good school would be for this subdivision aged children. I am not a realtor trying to sell anything in this subdivision but I just think the homes here are beautiful they are marketed as executive style homes and are wr
worth it to check out. Email or post back if you would like additional information.

Was just trying to be helpful as the original poster might still get emails via this post and might still be looking for a home. Sorry.

don't know what you said, but have an idea. I happen to feel, even though someone is being helpful, there are times when threads and questions are so old there doesn't seem to be any reason to bring them back up.

I would guess, anyone, asking a question 2 years ago is, 1-either gone by now or 2-has their answer. I am sure you didn't mean anything by whatever you said. The poster hasn't even posted since that day. I doubt she is still looking for a place to live. Actrually her first post memtioned she and her family might, possibly be moving to NWA.
