I heard Erik Estrada is about to return selling land in Bella Vista & Hot Springs Village since the economy is improving. Has anyone seen the infomercial recently?

The company behind the original commercials, NRPI, does not have anything going on in Hot Springs Village.

actually, here in BV yes...So many that were purchased or still owned by Cooper have not been built on and are up for sale. In our block alone, there are about 5.

BVV & HSV didn't hire the pitchman, a real estate company did. There are about 25,000 unimproved lots in HSV.

In today's Arkansas Democrat-Gazette was an interesting article about undeveloped lots in Holiday Island and a side look at HSV and BV too. It mentions Estrada and McMahon as pitchmen, but the interesting part was about the undeveloped property ownership and the fact that taxes have not been paid. It implied that people who already have homes are happy but there are many questions about the undeveloped lots. It also mentioned there are homes for sale in HI.

At a point on time, about two or three years ago, we were considering retiring in Eureka Springs or Holiday Island. As soon as the pitchmen hit the small screen, that was that. No thanks

My grandparents live in HI. They have been considering selling their property to move closer to civilization, but the housing market there isn't so good these days.

Its not too good anywhere I don't think. Actually values in BV haven't really gone down much lately but it takes forever to sell something even if you get close to your asking price.

We considered HSV for a short time, then decided it was too far from civilzation like your grandparents say. We are much closer here and still have the advantage of somewhat of a rural life.
