I will be moving to Springdale in the next few months, due to a new job.
I will have to rent a place for 6-12 months, (until my current home sells).
Can anyone recommend a safe and quiet area to rent a home (duplex, house, townhome, etc) in this area. My wife and young child will be staying at home during the day, so safety is a prime concern.
The job requires me to live within 10 miles of downtown springdale, thus limiting me the area between South Rogers and Northern Fayetteville.

thanks

The areas around Zion Road and Crossover road in North Fayetteville are quite nice and there should be a number of rentals around there. There is a very nice development near the intersection of Crossover and Zion that are new rowhouses. Some of them might be available to lease. If not, there are quite a few nice apartments in that area- a nice quiet (safe) part of town near Lake Fayetteville and the Ozark Botanical Gardens. I'm not sure if the Har-Ber (west) area of Springdale is close enough to downtown to work (although I think it is), but that area is also very nice and should have rental properties in the area. Other areas to consider are Johnson and Lowell- nice little suburb towns that have lots of nice houses and duplexes for rent. I know remarkably little about south Rogers, so I'm afraid I'm no help there. Good luck, and I hope that helps a little!

I just saw those rowhouses a week or two ago. Really liked it, and while I'm not sure if it's totally unique for this area it's cool to see a new housing development that's nice but NOT bland.

It's not unique to the area (the Rupple Row development pre-dates it), but I think that developer saw the positive commentary and demand for Rupple Row and thought "why not?". I much prefer developments like that to the same old bland brick-and-vinyl ranch style housing developments. Kudos to group that built that one on Zion Rd. for bringing something a little less common to North Fayetteville.
